Santa Fe's historic adobe compounds and foothill estates demand fencing that honors the landscape and the architecture. Albuquerque Fence Company brings craftsmanship and local knowledge to fence installation, repair, and gate work across Santa Fe (87501) and the surrounding Albuquerque area.
Whether you're protecting a property line along the foothills, installing an ornamental iron gate at the entry to a territorial-style home, or repairing storm damage to a latilla perimeter fence, our team understands the materials, the terrain, and the local codes that govern fencing in this region. We've been serving Santa Fe homeowners and property managers since 2015.
Fencing for Santa Fe's Distinctive Properties
Santa Fe's housing stock ranges from historic adobe compounds to modern foothill estates, and the fencing that works here reflects both tradition and durability. Many properties sit on sloped or rocky terrain, which shapes how we set posts and plan gate clearance. The area's elevation and exposure mean materials must stand up to temperature swings and occasional severe weather. We work with wood and privacy fence, vinyl, chain link, aluminum, and ornamental iron, each chosen to fit the property's character and the site conditions you face.
Our team is experienced in the specific challenges of Santa Fe fencing: working from existing surveys on properties where boundary lines matter, coordinating with homeowner associations on material and height, installing automatic driveway gates on slopes and uneven ground, and repairing or replacing fencing damaged by wind or weather. We're fully insured and hold AFA Member Installer certification through the American Fence Association. We've served Santa Fe and the greater Albuquerque area since 2015, and we know the local building department rules and the permit requirements that vary across the region.

How a Fence Project Works
Step 1: Free On-Site Assessment. Call us at (505) 207-3356 or contact us online. We'll schedule a time to walk your property, understand what you need, and discuss the options. We look at the terrain, the existing fence or gate condition, setback and height rules in your area, and any HOA architectural standards that apply. We'll explain the cost factors and timeline, and answer your questions about materials and design.
Step 2: The Work Itself. Before we dig post holes, New Mexico law requires a utility locate through 811 to mark underground lines. We set posts in concrete on proper spacing, build rails and pickets to your specifications, and install gates with hardware sized for the load and terrain. On sloped properties, we may use stepped or racked installation so the fence line follows grade. On ornamental iron and automatic gates, we take extra care with alignment and operation.
Step 3: Cleanup and Walkthrough. We remove debris, haul away old fence material if you've asked for removal, and leave your property clean. We walk through the finished work with you, explain how to operate any gates, and answer questions about care and maintenance.
